Introduction
This is the first Rotogravure Printing installation in India;
however, many large publications worldwide are being printed on
Rotogravure for speed and quality. This facility is equipped to
print large volume of magazines, catalogues, books for India and
the rest of the world.
Cylinder preparation: absolute precision keeps us in shape…
The processed data is used directly in making the cylinder. We
position the digitised text and image pages on screen, integrating
the control characters and codes necessary for the engraving and
printing process.
Initial proofs are then produced for monitoring the accuracy of
the content. The data needed to make individual colour cylinders is
then transmitted directly to the gravure machines via our network. A
workflow system specially synchronised with our processes
facilitates print form production, guaranteeing maximum levels of
internal control.
Engraving the cylinder is followed by printing itself:
here the magazines, catalogues and advertising products take on
tangible shape. Ongoing process optimisation and strategic
investments in cutting-edge technology enable us to respond quickly
and flexibly to your requirements.
Our two presses up to 2.45 m in width allow high-print runs and
subsequent finishing in a variety of formats. Multi-colour printing
guarantees superlative quality.
Rotogravure printing and paper gives better print gloss and
opacity. The images are directly printed onto the paper rather than
via a blanket cylinder. An electric charge helps transfer the ink
from the engraved wells in the cylinder onto the paper, making the
image extremely sharp and clear.
The two Rotogravure presses can produce more than 50,000 tonnes
of paper per year. These machines can print from 36 to 110 gsm.
